Our local turkeys apparently had two litters this year - a number of people around here have remarked on the second set of babies that appeared in late summer. While it's fun to see them around the village and along roads, a friend of mine who's a volunteer fire fighter down in Edgecomb says if you hit one of the 25 pound adults while driving, you can really get hurt.
