High Tide Turning?

Yesterday I mentioned the special election for our vacant state senate seat, held  by Republicans for ten years. Progressive Democrat Chris Johnson won solidly. The Bangor Daily news reports that with 20 of the district's 22 towns reporting their tallies, Chris Johnson had 54% of the vote.

I know you need at least two data points to show a trend. While this election result could be a fluke, there's no reason to see it that way. Instead, I went to bed last night full of hope that politics is starting to change, that the tide is turning.
