A battery car, for sale even

After my paper-or-plastic post yesterday a friend wrote reminding me of eco-cars: the batteries in cars like the Prius are poisonous. I especially wonder about the working conditions in the places where they make those batteries. I'm ready to believe that batteries are a better deal for the environment. But it seems to have become less fashionable nowadays to worry about worker health and safety. When there is a shortage of jobs, bosses can cut even more corners.

You yourself can buy my daughter's 04 Prius, by the the way, she's moving to NYC. Let me know, this is a real deal.
