More Hunkering

Jan says:

In addition to a Blue Bird that flew in with a flock of gold finches to eat Meaties, this flock of 22 turkeys hunkered under the trees and when happy with the weather and danger level struck out, up the field.

Years ago we had planted a windbreak and had irrigation hoses laid out and every day the turkeys would come off their roost cross our yard and hop single file across a hose in their path.  Every evening it was the reverse.
